How to Draw the Saint Vincent and the Grenadines Flag

A practical guide to the blue-gold-green layout and the three green diamonds that form the flag’s distinctive V.

1

Start with the flag rectangle

Begin with a clean horizontal rectangle. For a classroom or illustration version, preserve the official visual proportions from a trusted government reference image rather than inventing an unsupported numeric ratio.

2

Draw the three vertical color fields

Place a blue band at the hoist, a wider gold band in the center and a green band at the fly. The wider center creates the space needed for the diamond emblem.

3

Add the three green diamonds

Place three matching green diamonds in the lower half of the gold field. Arrange them so the overall device reads as a V for Vincent.

Best accuracy check: the diamonds should look like one coherent symbol, not three unrelated shapes.

Final accuracy checklist

  • Blue at the hoist.
  • Wide gold center field.
  • Green at the fly.
  • Three green diamonds only.
  • Diamonds arranged as a V.
  • No coat of arms or breadfruit on the current flag.
