Uganda’s national flag has six horizontal stripes repeating black, yellow and red twice, with a white disc at the centre containing a grey crowned crane.

Meaning

Black represents the African people, yellow Africa’s sunshine, and red the brotherhood of humanity. The grey crowned crane became a national symbol because of its distinctive appearance and peaceful behaviour.
