Togo’s national flag has five alternating green and yellow horizontal stripes with a red canton containing a white five-pointed star.
Who designed the flag?
Togolese artist Paul Ahyi designed the flag for independence in 1960. Green represents agriculture and hope, yellow natural resources, red sacrifice, and the white star purity, peace and unity.
