1
Start with a 1:2 rectangle
The official width-to-length ratio is 1:2. A simple digital canvas could therefore be 500 × 1000 pixels, 600 × 1200 pixels or any equivalent proportion.
2
Draw the gold saltire
Draw two broad diagonal gold bands from corner to corner so they form an X. Jamaica Information Service states that the width of each arm of the saltire is one-sixth of the flag’s length.
Construction rule: if the flag is 1200 units long, each gold arm is 200 units wide.
3
Fill the four triangular fields
Color the upper and lower triangles green. Color the hoist and fly triangles black. The diagonal cross remains gold.
