Tajikistan’s national flag is a horizontal red-white-green tricolour with a golden crown and seven stars centred on the broad white band. It was adopted in 1992 after independence from the Soviet Union.

History of the flag

Tajikistan was the last former Soviet republic to adopt a completely new national flag after the USSR collapsed. The present design was approved on November 24, 1992.
